I love to create environments that comfort and challenge.
I am interested in plants, cooking, exploring and telling stories. I’ve been a photographer for most of my life. I started on a film camera in high school. Through photography I tell stories that I have embellished or simply documented. I capture moments and I take pictures of buildings before they are destroyed and objects just to keep them safe.
My installation work is a reflection of what I’ve seen or felt. I like to use bits of textiles and natural found objects to create colorful abstract scenes.
My home is Sonoma County Ca, but I’d love to see the world. I love a picnic more than anything in the world. Connecting with people is a hugely important to me. I have been known to create assignments for myself, like this one where I dared my self to ask strangers if I could document their style.
